CORE BANKING SOLUTION (CBS)

To meet the challenges and competition in banking industry, Purulia Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. has extended its services to the customers using Core Banking Solution (CBS) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Banks link software. All of our branches are CBS enabled since year 2011. The biggest metamorphosis in the banking industry during the last decade has been the introduction of ‘any branch banking’ through the implementation of Core Banking Solution (CBS) across the country.

What is RTGS ?

The acronym 'RTGS' stands for Real Time Gross Settlement, which can be defined as the continuous (real-time) settlement of funds individually on an order by order basis (without netting). 'Real Time' means the processing of instructions at the time they are received rather than at some later time. 'Gross Settlement' means the settlement of funds transfer instructions occurs individually (on an instruction by instruction basis). Considering that the funds settlement takes place in the books of the Reserve Bank of India, the payments are final and irrevocable.

What is NEFT ?

National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) is a nation-wide payment system facilitating one-to-one funds transfer. Under this Scheme, individuals can electronically transfer funds from any bank branch to any individual having an account with any other bank branch in the country participating in the Scheme.

The remitting customer has to furnish the following information in a bank prescribed format to the bank branch for initiating RTGS/ NEFT remittance.

  1. Amount to be remitted.
  2. Remitting customer's account number which is to be debited.
  3. Name of the beneficiary bank and branch.
  4. The IFSC Number of the receiving branch.
  5. Name of the beneficiary customer.
  6. Account number of the beneficiary customer.
  7. Sender to receiver information, if any.

If amount is less than 2 lakhs – NEFT If amount is greater than 2 lakhs – NEFT / RTGS

CHEQUE TRUNCATION SYSTEM (CTS)

Cheque Truncation System (CTS) or Image-based Clearing System (ICS), in India, is a project undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for faster clearing of cheques. CTS is based on a cheque truncation or online image-based cheque clearing system where cheque images and magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) data are captured at the collecting bank branch and transmitted electronically.

Inward and outward clearing of CTS 2010 cheque are being truncated in a faster pace through our Clearing section at Day Branch functioning as a routing branch to all of our branches.

Our remote branches use to collect the cheques from the customers and forward the same to the Clearing section at Day Branch to settle. Clearing section at Day Branch processes the same and settles the amount to the customer’s account after the cheaque gets cleared.

IMPLEMENTATION OF DBT / DBTL

Purulia Central Cooperative Bank has been implemented Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme (DBT) in district and Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme for LPG beneficiaries (DBTL) in District through its Branches. We are live as a Sub-member Bank in Aadhaar Payment Bridge Solution (APBS) / National Automated Clearing House (NACH) Sponsored by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Currently we are live in ACH-Credit and APB- Credit other service will be live soon.

LPG SUBSIDY

As per the modified DBTL process of Government of India, for availing the LPG subsidy the LPG consumer is required to ensure the following:

  1. If you have an Aadhaar number, then please visit your nearest branch to link your Aadhaar with your Bank account and also submit the same to your LPG dealer, (OR)
  2. If you do not have Aadhaar, then Link your Bank account with LPG ID, by either: i) approach your LPG dealer along with your Bank account details; ii) visit your nearest PCCB Bank branch with a copy of the Form -3 along with a copy of your LPG blue book or cash receipt which has your unique 17 digit LPG ID.
